In this 45 minute session I will discuss my experience getting Islandora up and running for an academic library. This session is intended for Islandora beginners and will cover some the challenges I was faced with when installing and configuring Islandora, such as:
a. installation on Ubuntu [success] and Red Hat [fail]); b. form configuration using MODS; c. metadata issues; d. SOLR configuration for displaying metadata; e. theming; f. hiring a consultant for help; g. upcoming challenges
