UNLV decided to pursue implementing Islandora 8 as a replacement for CONTENTdm in early 2018, long before an initial release. This presentation will describe our rationale, our efforts to implement a system still in early development, our integration with ArchivesSpace to unite archival description with digital objects, and what is left to do before our go-live date in December 2019.
